Hi, I’m Suzi from StartaMomBlog.com

I am a mom to two beautiful little girls, a little boy and the wife to a wonderful man.

I studied Industrial Engineering at a huge college and spent years working for Fortune 100 Companies like General Electric and Walt Disney World optimizing their systems, reducing cost and inventory, and implementing Lean Six Sigma.

I honestly wish I started blogging when I was in college! But I didn’t know what blogging was. I had no idea you could build an audience online. So I graduated and entered the corporate life.

I enjoyed spending my days on the manufacturing floor making the processes more efficient and effective.

But as soon as my first daughter was born my world changed and I became a stay at home mom.

During my daughter’s nap times and early bedtime, I needed an outlet for my productive energy, so I started blogging. Again, I delayed, I wish I didn’t wait until she was a year old. I should have started blogging while on maternity leave!

Finally I started blogging. And I fell in love. It was my creative outlet while my sweet girl took naps. I blogged about my breastfeeding journey, motherhood, recipes and crafts. I loved it! I started connecting with other moms and didn’t feel so lonely anymore.

I had the best of both worlds. I was a stay at home mom and I started growing my skills and meeting new friends online. It was wonderful. I grew my blog and found a passion to help my friends also join me on this amazing journey.

I’ve always been very technical. I was a teaching assistant in college and helped fellow students create and design websites. I loved coding. I would stay up all night figuring out If Then statements and Do Until loops.

I realized that with my teaching skills, my Industrial Engineering and time management background, that I could help other moms start their blogs too! I’m not a fantastic writer, but I can break down complicated procedures into easy to follow steps.

I was also pregnant with our second baby girl and had a sudden drive to start a second blog! So I created StartAMomBlog.com.

Why Blogging?

Blogging is a very rewarding and extremely flexible activity. It also has the potential to grow into something amazing. But it can be time-consuming if you do not have standards and processes.

This is where my Industrial Engineering experience plays a vital role in StartAMomBlog.

I launched StartaMomBlog.com on January 18th, three weeks before the birth of my second daughter. I grew my email list to over 1,000 by May, launched my ebook in June, and my course in September, and have made over $300,000 so far. I am beyond blessed!
